Home elevators in Texas

A simpler way up and down your Texas home

Keep every floor of the home you love within easy reach, for years to come.

Your home in Texas may have plenty of room, yet the rooms that matter most can sit at the top of a staircase. The main bedroom, a grandchild's room, the office or the game room. When the climb gets hard, those rooms start to feel out of reach.

A PVE home elevator brings them back. PVE designs and manufactures air-driven elevators with patented pneumatic technology. In plain words, a change in air pressure lifts the cabin, and gravity helps it come down. The elevator is self-supporting, so it stands on your existing floor with no pit, no hoistway and no separate machine room in standard installations.

That is why it fits so many kinds of homes across Texas, from a suburban two-story house to a townhome with three levels or a new build still on paper. Most of the work stays in one small spot, and you keep your stairs, your rooms and your routine. Read on to see what your home will need, then request a free consultation when you are ready.

How it works

The cleanest home elevator on the market.

Your elevator runs on household power through its own circuit and uses no harmful oils, gases or lubricants, so there is nothing to leak into your home. If you like the idea of help from the sun, a solar panel package is available.

  1. 01Air lifts you up

A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.

  2. 02Gravity brings you down

Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.

  3. 03Runs on household current

Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.

The most sustainable home elevator available. Anywhere.

Models

Four models. One for every home.

If your Texas home offers only a tight corner or a small closet, the PVE30 carries one rider in the smallest footprint. The PVE37 and The Cube carry two, and The Cube's square shape suits two- and three-story homes. If someone in your family uses a wheelchair, start with the PVE52, the one model built for wheelchair access.

Why homeowners choose PVE

Safe, simple and made to be seen.

Here is what a PVE home elevator means for your Texas home, in practical terms. Each point comes back to the same goal: easy access to every floor, with less work in your house.

It stands on the floor you have

Because the elevator is self-supporting, there is no pit to dig and no hoistway to frame in standard installations. If your home sits on a level slab, the work stays above the floor, and your rooms stay as they are.

A gentle way down if the power fails

If the power cuts out while someone is riding, the cabin descends on its own to the lowest level at a safe speed and the door unlocks. Anyone riding alone can step out without help, even during a storm.

Room for a wheelchair with the PVE52

The PVE52 is the model built for wheelchair access, with space for a rider and a companion. It is not ADA compliant and not every chair fits, so ride one at an authorized dealer before you decide.

A short install once prep is done

After the electrical work and the floor openings or landing are ready, the elevator typically goes in within 2 to 3 days. You stay in your home, and the work stays in one small area.

A design that suits open living spaces

Panoramic 360 degree visibility lets light pass through the cabin, so it sits well in an open living room, an entry or beside the stairs. You choose the finish that suits your home.

Assembled in the USA, backed by a local dealer

Every PVE elevator is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami, Florida. It is installed and serviced by an authorized dealer trained at the PVE Miami facility, so help is close to your Texas home.

Testimonials

What homeowners say.

Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.

We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.

PVE homeowner5 years with a PVE

My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.

It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!

From idea to installation

What happens during installation?

Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.

  1. Review the home

Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.

  2. Confirm the model and location

Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.

  3. Prepare the site

Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.

  4. Install and hand over

Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.

Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

FAQ

Questions Texas buyers ask before they order

Have another question? Send us your question and an authorized dealer will answer it for your home. 813-548-4339
We have a normal-size house in Texas. Is there room for an elevator?

In many homes, yes. PVE elevators take up little floor space and need no pit, no hoistway and no machine room in standard installations, so they often fit in a corner, beside the stairs or through stacked closets. Homes in Texas range from compact townhomes to large family houses, and there is a model sized for most of them. Site suitability varies, so a dealer visit confirms the best spot.

Who gets the building permit for us?

Your authorized dealer typically guides the permit with you. The local building office that serves your home decides what it needs, and that can differ from one city or county in Texas to the next. Some offices want drawings and a final inspection, and others ask for less. Your dealer knows what to prepare, so you are not working it out alone. Start once you have chosen a model.

Our house is on a concrete slab. Is that a problem?

Usually not, and it can keep the job simple. A PVE elevator rests on your existing floor, so in a standard installation there is nothing to dig into your slab. What matters is that the spot is completely level. Your dealer checks the floor during the home visit and tells you if any leveling is needed first, so you know the full scope of the work before you order.

What if the power goes out while my mom is riding?

She comes down gently to the lowest floor, and the door unlocks so she can step out. It happens on its own. If your area loses power in a storm, that is a real comfort for anyone who rides alone. The cabin also has an alarm and a telephone. Your dealer can show you how it works on a demo ride, so the whole family feels sure.

Will any of these take a wheelchair and someone to help?

Yes, the PVE52 is the model built for wheelchair access, with room for a rider and a companion. The other three models suit people who walk but find the stairs tiring. Not every wheelchair fits, and the PVE52 is not ADA compliant. The best step is to bring the chair and ride one at an authorized dealer. Your dealer in Texas can help you arrange that visit before you decide.

How soon could we be riding it?

The install itself typically takes 2 to 3 days once site prep is done. Before that come the home visit, your quote, the permit and the site work, such as the electrical circuit and the floor openings or landing. How long those steps take depends on your local building office and the work your Texas home needs. Your dealer gives you a realistic timeline with your quote, so you can plan around it.

Can you tell us roughly what we would spend?

It depends on your home, and a free quote gives you the real answer. The model you choose, how many floors it serves and the site work matter most. An elevator between two floors in an easy, level spot needs less preparation than one serving three floors with openings to cut and finish. Your dealer looks at your house in Texas and prices it for you. You can also check the current promotions page when you request your quote.

After it is installed, who do we call for a check-up?

You call your authorized dealer, who sets up your service schedule. PVE elevators are low maintenance and use no harmful oils or lubricants, but they still need a regular inspection, at least every 6 months. Every dealer is trained at the PVE facility in Miami, so the team that installs your elevator in Texas also knows how to care for it. Ask about the service plan when you request your quote.

Texas is a big state, and its homes vary just as much. You may own a two-story suburban house, a three-story townhome on a narrow lot, a ranch with a bonus room upstairs, or a custom home still on the architect's desk. The same few checks tell you where an elevator should go in nearly every one.

Start with the floor. A PVE elevator rests on your existing floor, so there is no pit to dig. A concrete slab can be a fine base, as long as the spot you choose is completely level. If it is not, your dealer will tell you what leveling comes first.

No pit, no hoistway, no machine room: in standard installations, the elevator stands on the floor you already have.

Next, decide how the elevator reaches the floor above. With a through-floor install, a neat opening is cut in each floor, often in a living room corner, beside the stairs or through stacked closets. With a balcony install, the elevator rises beside an open landing or walkway, which suits a tall entry or a gallery above the main room. Your dealer will show you which fits.

Permits come next. The local building office that serves your home handles them, and what it asks for can differ from one office to another. Your authorized dealer typically works through the paperwork with you. Review times vary, so start this step once you have picked a model.

Before the install, a little site work gets your home ready. A licensed electrician adds a dedicated circuit, and a contractor cuts and finishes the floor openings or builds the landing. Once that is done, the elevator typically goes in within 2 to 3 days. You can keep living at home while the crew works.

One more point on placement. The elevator is not used below 65°F, so it belongs inside the conditioned part of your home, not in a garage or on an open porch.

Then think about who will ride. If a family member uses a wheelchair, the PVE52 gives room for a rider and a companion, while the smaller models suit someone who walks but finds the stairs tiring. If you are building, ask your architect to plan stacked openings now. That is much simpler than cutting them later.

A home visit gets all of this right. A dealer walks through your house, looks at the spots you have in mind and talks through who will ride. You leave knowing which model fits and what work comes first. When you are ready, request a free consultation.
