An easy way between floors in your Nigeria home

Keep every floor of your home within easy reach, without giving up a room to get there.

Think about how your day moves through the house. The sitting room is downstairs, the bedrooms are upstairs, and maybe a study or terrace waits on the floor above. When the stairs start to feel long, because of a knee, a surgery or a parent who moves more slowly now, the house you built for your family can begin to work against you.

A PVE home elevator puts those floors back in reach. PVE designs and manufactures it with patented pneumatic technology, and it stands on your existing floor. In standard installations there is no pit to dig, no shaft to build and no separate machine room to find space for.

For a home in Nigeria, that keeps the project small and calm. It can suit a two-story house you already live in, a three-story family home, or a new build you are still planning. Below, you can see how it works, which model fits your household, and what to expect from the first visit to the first ride.

How it works

The cleanest home elevator on the market.

The design is clean and simple. There are no oils or lubricants to manage, it runs on a standard home supply, and if the power ever fails, the cabin comes down gently to the lowest floor.

  1. 01Air lifts you up

A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.

  2. 02Gravity brings you down

Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.

  3. 03Runs on household current

Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.

The most sustainable home elevator available. Anywhere.

Models

Four models. One for every home.

If your stairs are narrow and one person needs the lift, the compact PVE30 is a good place to start. For two riders, the PVE37 or the square Cube suits a two- or three-story home. If someone in your family uses a wheelchair, look at the PVE52 first, and a dealer visit will confirm the fit.

Why homeowners choose PVE

Safe, simple and made to be seen.

Here is what an air-driven elevator means for your home in Nigeria, from the first visit to years of daily rides with the people you love.

No pit, no shaft

Standard installations need no pit, hoistway or separate machine room. Your home keeps its rooms and its structure. That makes the elevator a good fit for a house you already live in, where a deep dig or a new shaft would mean long weeks of disruption.

Calm in a power cut

If the power fails while the elevator is running, the cabin descends to the lowest level at a safe speed and the door lock opens. Whoever is riding steps out on the ground floor, with no wait for help to arrive.

A short install

Once the site is ready, the install typically takes 2 to 3 days. Less time with workers in your home means less dust, less noise and a quicker return to normal family life.

A panoramic ride

The 360 degree panoramic design lets you see out as you ride. The cabin feels open, not boxed in, and the elevator looks like a feature of your home rather than equipment hidden away behind a wall.

Low maintenance

There are no harmful oils, gases or lubricants to manage. Your authorized dealer sets the service schedule and handles the checkups, so the elevator stays ready for the trips your family makes every day.

A maker you can trust

PVE has designed and manufactured air-driven home elevators since 2002. Every elevator is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami, Florida, then installed by a dealer trained at the PVE Miami facility.

Testimonials

What homeowners say.

Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.

We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.

PVE homeowner5 years with a PVE

My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.

It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!

From idea to installation

What happens during installation?

Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.

  1. Review the home

Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.

  2. Confirm the model and location

Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.

  3. Prepare the site

Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.

  4. Install and hand over

Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.

Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

FAQ

Questions from homeowners in Nigeria

Have another question? Send us your question and we will answer it with your home in mind. 813-548-4339
Will an elevator fit in our home in Nigeria without a big rebuild?

In many homes, yes. A PVE elevator stands on your existing floor and, in standard installations, needs no pit, shaft or machine room. Most families give up a small corner near the stairs or in a hallway, not a whole room. Every house is different, though, so the spot needs a level floor and enough ceiling height. Send us a few details about your home, and your dealer will confirm the best place during a visit.

Who works out which approvals our house needs?

Your authorized dealer helps you with this before any work starts. The approvals depend on where your home is in Nigeria and on the work involved, such as opening a floor or adding wiring. We do not guess at local rules from a distance. Your dealer reviews your plan, explains what your local building authority is likely to ask for, and helps you prepare. That way there are no surprises once the install is booked.

Our electricity is not always steady. Will the elevator cope?

Yes, with the right setup. Every model runs on a standard home supply, and PVE strongly recommends a voltage stabilizer to keep the power even. If the power fails while the elevator is running, the cabin moves down gently to the lowest floor and the door opens, so no one waits between floors. Your dealer will check your supply during the visit and tell you what your electrician should add.

We are building a new house. When should we plan the elevator?

Plan it now, before the floors are finished. When your architect or builder knows early, the openings line up through each level, the power is ready, and the spot is level from day one. That keeps site work simple and lets the install move fast once the house is done. It also lets you pick a model and finish that suit your design. Share your drawings with us and we will help you plan it in.

Can someone in our family ride it in their wheelchair?

Yes, with the PVE52. It is the one PVE model made with room for a wheelchair, and it carries up to three riders. Not every wheelchair fits, so the best step is to try the actual chair in a PVE52 at an authorized distributor before you order. Keep in mind it is a home elevator, not equipment for public buildings. Your dealer will help you check the fit and the space it needs in your home.

How long does the install itself take?

Typically 2 to 3 days, once the site is ready. Site preparation comes first: a level floor, the opening or landing at each level, and the power your elevator needs. How long that takes depends on your home and the work it needs. Your dealer gives you a clear plan after the visit, so you know what happens and when, and the install days stay short, clean and quiet.

What makes one elevator project cost more than another?

Three things shape the price: the model, the number of floors, and the site work your home needs. A compact single-rider model is a smaller project than the larger wheelchair model, and each extra stop adds to the work. Opening floors, building a landing or adding wiring and a stabilizer can also change the total. A free quote after a look at your home gives you the real figure for your house, with no guesswork.

What does it need from us to keep running well?

Very little from day to day, and your dealer handles the rest. The elevator is low maintenance and uses no harmful oils, gases or lubricants. Your authorized dealer sets the service schedule, with an inspection at least every 6 months, and is the one to call if anything needs attention. PVE trains every dealer at its Miami facility, so the person caring for your elevator knows it well. Ask about service on your first visit.

Install time
Typically 2 to 3 days after site prep

Every elevator project starts with your house, not with a catalogue. Many family homes keep the main living space on the ground floor and the bedrooms above, with one staircase that everyone climbs many times a day. If that sounds like your home, the first question is simple. Where could a compact elevator stand, with a floor above it that can open to let it through?

In most homes the answer is near the stairs, in the corner of a hallway or beside a landing. Because a PVE elevator is self-supporting, it rests on your floor instead of leaning on your walls. You give up a small corner, not a whole room. If cutting through a floor is not the best choice, the elevator can also reach an upper level from a balcony or landing built for it.

Your floor matters more than your walls. The spot where the elevator stands must be fully level, and the ceiling above needs enough height for the top of the unit. If your top floor has a low ceiling, there are options, such as placing the machinery in a nearby spot. Your dealer checks all of this on the first visit, so you know early what work your home needs.

Next comes power. Every model runs on 220 to 240 V single-phase power from its own breaker, and PVE strongly recommends a buck-boost or voltage stabilizer to keep the supply even. If your home already uses a stabilizer or a backup supply for other appliances, tell your dealer. They will explain how the elevator fits the setup you have and what your electrician needs to add.

If the power fails during a ride, the cabin descends gently to the lowest level and the door opens.

That matters for anyone who rides alone. Your parent or partner never waits between floors for the lights to return. The elevator also asks little of you. It uses no harmful oils, gases or lubricants, and your authorized dealer sets a simple service schedule, with an inspection at least every 6 months.

Approvals depend on where your home is and what the work involves. Opening a floor, adding a landing or changing the wiring can each call for a check by your local building authority. We do not guess at the rules for your area from a distance. Your dealer reviews your plan with you and helps you learn which approvals apply before any work begins.

If you are building, this is the best time to decide. Tell your architect or builder early, so the floors line up, the openings are framed and the power is ready where the elevator will stand. Planning ahead keeps site work simple. It also lets you choose a model and finish that suit your design from the start.

When install day comes, the work is quiet and contained. Once the site is prepared, a trained team typically installs the elevator in 2 to 3 days. PVE works through authorized dealers trained at its Miami facility, and we connect you with the dealer who serves your area for the visit, the install and the care that follows.
