That way you know for sure before you order anything for your home.
Do we have to move out during the install?
No, you can stay in your home. The install itself typically takes 2 to 3 days once the site prep is complete. Before that, a carpenter cuts the floor openings and an electrician runs a dedicated circuit, which is short, contained work. There is no pit to dig and no shaft to build, so most of your house stays as it is. Your dealer will give you a simple schedule so you know what happens each day.
Can we put it in the garage or on the porch?
No, it belongs inside the heated and cooled part of your home. The elevator is not meant to run in cold spaces, so an unheated garage, porch or attic is not a good fit.
