A PVE air-driven home elevator with its panoramic design, shown in a residential setting.
Keep every floor of your Nevada home within easy reach.
An elevator that fits the home you already have, not the other way around.
Picture the evening routine without the climb. You carry the groceries, the laundry basket or a sleepy grandchild up to the next floor and simply press a button. For many families in Nevada, that small change is what lets them stay in a home they love instead of searching for a single-level house.
PVE designs and manufactures air-driven home elevators with patented pneumatic technology. They are self-supporting, which means the elevator stands on your floor and carries its own weight. Standard installations need no pit, no hoistway and no separate machine room, so the work in your house stays light.
That suits the range of homes you find in Nevada, from a two-story family house to a three-level custom home or a new build still being drawn. Below, you will find what the job involves, which model fits your household and how to take the next step.
The cleanest home elevator on the market.
The design is clean and simple to live with. There are no harmful oils or lubricants, it runs on standard household power, and a solar panel package is available if you want your Nevada home to share the load.
- 01Air lifts you up
A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.
- 02Gravity brings you down
Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.
- 03Runs on household current
Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.
The most sustainable home elevator available. Anywhere.
- Pneumatic technology
- No shaft, pit or machine room
- Installed in 2 to 3 days
- Panoramic design
- Three sizes and a square
Four models. One for every home.
If one person will ride and space is tight, the PVE30 is the compact choice. The PVE37 and The Cube give room for two, which suits a couple, and The Cube's square shape fits neatly in a corner of a two- or three-story home. If a wheelchair is part of your plans, start with the PVE52.

Here is what a PVE home elevator brings to your Nevada home, and why families choose an air-driven design for the house they already have.
No pit to dig
The elevator stands on your existing level floor. There is no pit, no hoistway and no separate machine room in standard installations, so you skip the heavy digging and the long building job that many other home elevators need.
A gentle descent if the power fails
If the power goes out while the elevator is moving, it lowers itself to the bottom floor at a safe, steady speed and the door unlocks. Whoever is riding can simply step out, with no need to wait for help.
A view all the way around
The panoramic design lets you see out in every direction as you ride. The cylinder is an aluminum frame with polycarbonate panels, so it feels open and light and fits the look of a modern or classic room.
Room kept for living
The space-saving footprint takes a small corner, not a whole room. That matters when your stairs, hallways and bedrooms are already laid out just the way you like them.
Low maintenance
There are no harmful oils, gases or lubricants to manage. Your authorized dealer sets a simple service schedule and handles the checkups, so the elevator keeps running smoothly year after year.
From the manufacturer
PVE has designed and manufactured air-driven elevators since 2002. Each one is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami, Florida, and installed by an authorized dealer trained at the PVE Miami facility.
Real PVE installations.

What homeowners say.
Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.
We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.
My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.
It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!
What happens during installation?
Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.
- Review the home
Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.
- Confirm the model and location
Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.
- Prepare the site
Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.
- Install and hand over
Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.
Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

Questions Nevada buyers ask before ordering
Can you tell from a few photos whether our Nevada home will work?
Photos are a great start, but a home visit gives the final answer. Pictures help us see your layout and suggest a likely spot. On the visit, your dealer checks that the floor is level, that the ceilings and floor spacing work, and where power can reach. Homes in Nevada vary a lot, from newer two-story houses to custom three-level homes, so seeing yours in person avoids guesswork. Send your photos with your quote request to begin.
What will we need from our local building office?
In many parts of Nevada you will need a permit and an inspection, and your city or county sets those rules. That is why there is no single answer for the whole state. Your authorized dealer knows what your local office usually asks for and helps you prepare the paperwork. Timing varies from place to place, so it is wise to start the permit step soon after you choose your model and spot.
Our home is fairly new. Does that make the job easier?
Often it does, though every home still gets checked. Newer homes tend to have level floors and modern wiring, which can mean less prep before install day. Even so, the dealer confirms the floor, the space between floors and the route for a new power circuit. If you are still building, it is even simpler, because your builder can plan the openings and power from the start. Ask about this when you request your quote.
If the power cuts out, will my husband be stuck between floors?
No, he will not be left between floors. If the power fails while the elevator is moving, it lowers itself to the bottom floor at a slow, safe speed. Then the door unlocks so he can step out on his own. There is also an alarm and a telephone in the cabin. This gives the whole family peace of mind, whether he rides alone in the morning or late at night.
My mother uses a walker now and may need a wheelchair later. Which model makes sense?
The PVE52 is the model to look at, since it is our only wheelchair-accessible home elevator. Planning for it now saves you from changing models later. It has room for a wheelchair and a helper, though not every wheelchair fits, and it is not ADA compliant. The best step is to ride a PVE52 at an authorized dealer with your mother's chair. Then you will know for sure before you order.
How soon can we be riding it after we say yes?
Once site prep is complete, the install itself typically takes 2 to 3 days. Before that, there are a few steps: the home visit, your order, the permit from your city or county, and any floor or power work your home needs. The permit step is the one that varies most in Nevada. Your dealer gives you a clear timeline for your home, so you can plan around family visits or a surgery date.
What does the price depend on for a house like ours?
The price depends mainly on the model, the number of floors and the work your home needs first. A compact model for one rider and two stops is a simpler job than a wheelchair model serving three floors. Floor openings, leveling, a balcony landing and new wiring also play a part, along with local permit fees. A free quote after the home visit gives you the exact price for your home.
Who do we call in Nevada when it is time for a checkup?
You call your PVE authorized dealer, who installs and services your elevator. Every dealer is trained at the PVE Miami facility, so the people who look after it know it well. The elevator is low maintenance, and your dealer sets a service schedule with an inspection at least every 6 months. They also answer questions between visits. When you request a quote, ask who will handle service near your home.
Built for the way Nevada lives.
- Homes it suits
- Two- and three-story houses, homes with a lower level, new builds
- What it stands on
- Your existing level floor, no pit
- Before install
- A home visit, permits and site prep
- Install time
- Typically 2 to 3 days once site prep is complete
Homes across Nevada come in many shapes. You may own a two-story family house, a home with a lower level that opens to the yard, or a custom home with three floors. The question is the same in each one: where can an elevator stand so it is easy to reach on every level you use?
In many homes the answer is closer than you think. A corner of the living room, a spot beside the stairs or a closet with another closet right above it can often work. The elevator can pass through a neat opening cut in each floor, or it can rise beside a balcony or landing on the upper level. Your dealer looks at both options with you.
Self-supporting means the elevator stands on your floor, so the work stays small.
There is one firm need: the floor where it stands must be completely level. Most finished floors are close, and your dealer checks this on the visit. You will also need a dedicated power circuit, which a licensed electrician adds. If your floors need a little work first, you will know about it before anything is ordered, so there are no surprises on install day.
Next comes the paperwork. In Nevada, the rules for a home elevator are set by the city or county where you live, and many areas ask for a permit and an inspection. Your authorized dealer knows what to prepare and can guide you through it. How long approval takes varies from one office to the next, so it helps to start early.
If you are building or remodeling, now is a good time to plan the elevator in. Your architect or builder can stack the landing spots from floor to floor and run the power where it is needed. Planning ahead keeps the openings tidy and the finish clean, and it means you can ride from the day you move in.
Once the site prep is done, the install itself is quick. It typically takes 2 to 3 days, and it is a dry, tidy job compared with digging a pit or building a shaft. You can keep living in your home while the team works, and you learn how to use the elevator before they leave.
Think about who the elevator is for, now and later. It may be you after a knee surgery, a partner who tires on the stairs, or a parent moving in with your family. Many buyers also see a home elevator as a feature that can make a multi-level home appeal to more people later on. A free consultation is the easiest way to see what fits your home.
