Home elevators in Lagos, Nigeria

Every floor of your Lagos home, within easy reach again.

Your house should keep working for you, whatever happens with your knees, your health or your family.

Picture the floors of your Lagos home as one easy space. You ride from the ground floor to the bedrooms in a calm, quiet cabin, and the stairs become a choice instead of a daily test. That matters if you plan to stay in the house as you age, if you are healing after surgery, or if a parent is coming to live with you.

A PVE home elevator does this with far less building work than most people expect. It is air-driven, and it is self-supporting. In plain words, it holds itself up and rests on your finished floor, so you do not dig a pit, build a shaft or give up a room to machinery.

That makes it a good match for the kinds of houses many Lagos families own: a two-story home you have lived in for years, a three-story house with a terrace on top, or a new build still on the drawing board. The next step is simple. Ask for a free quote, and a dealer will look at your home with you.

How it works

The cleanest home elevator on the market.

The elevator needs no oils or lubricants, so there is nothing messy to change in your home. It runs on standard household power, and an optional solar panel package is available if you want one.

  1. 01Air lifts you up

A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.

  2. 02Gravity brings you down

Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.

  3. 03Runs on household current

Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.

The most sustainable home elevator available. Anywhere.

Models

Four models. One for every home.

If you ride alone and space is tight, the PVE30 is the compact choice. For two riders, look at the PVE37 or the square Cube, which suits two- and three-story homes. If someone in your family uses a wheelchair, start with the PVE52, the only model built for it.

Why homeowners choose PVE

Safe, simple and made to be seen.

Here is what a PVE home elevator brings to your Lagos house, and why each point matters for a family planning to stay put for years to come.

No pit, no shaft

The elevator holds itself up and rests on your existing floor. You skip the digging, the concrete work and the lost room that a traditional lift demands, which keeps your project smaller and your home calmer.

Gentle descent in a power cut

If the power goes off during a ride, the cabin lowers itself to the ground floor at a safe, steady pace and the door unlocks. That gives you real peace of mind when supply is not perfectly steady.

Quick to install

Once the site is ready, installation typically takes 2 to 3 days. Your family keeps living at home, and the house is back to normal within the week.

A view all the way around

The panoramic 360 degree design lets light pass through and keeps the ride open and bright. It looks like a piece of design in your home, not a box in the corner. A Work of Art. Powered by Air®.

Low maintenance, clean design

There are no harmful oils, gases or lubricants to manage. Your authorized dealer sets a simple service schedule, so the elevator stays in good order with little fuss for you.

A trusted manufacturer

PVE has designed and manufactured air-driven home elevators since 2002. Each one is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami, and installed through dealers trained at the PVE facility there.

Testimonials

What homeowners say.

Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.

We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.

PVE homeowner5 years with a PVE

My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.

It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!

What happens during installation?

Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.

  1. Review the home

Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.

  2. Confirm the model and location

Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.

  3. Prepare the site

Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.

  4. Install and hand over

Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.

Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

FAQ

Questions Lagos homeowners ask before ordering.

Have another question? Tell us about your home and your plans, and we will answer you directly. 813-548-4339
Can you put an elevator in the house I already live in?

Yes, in many cases you can, and it is often easier than people think. A PVE elevator stands on its own and rests on your finished floor, so there is no pit to dig and no shaft to build. That suits many existing two- and three-story Lagos homes. Each house is different, though, so a dealer visit is the way to confirm the best spot for yours. Ask for a free quote to arrange that visit.

What approvals will I need in Lagos?

It depends on your house and your plans, so the honest answer is that your dealer will help you find out. Rules for building work on a private home can differ, and a small retrofit is often simpler than a large rebuild. During the first visit, ask what your project may need and share any building approvals you already hold for the house. That way, you know what to prepare before any work begins in your home.

Does my house need building work first?

Usually only a little. The installer needs a level floor where the elevator will stand and a neat opening in each floor it passes through. Your home also needs a suitable power point, and a voltage stabilizer is strongly recommended. There is no digging and no machine room to build. Your dealer will list exactly what your Lagos home needs after looking at it, so you can plan the work with no surprises.

How many days will the installers be in my home?

Typically 2 to 3 days, once the site is ready. The elevator is assembled and factory-tested before it reaches you, so the team fits it together rather than building it on site. The preparation, such as the floor openings and power, comes first and depends on your house. Your dealer will give you a clear timeline for both steps, so your family knows what to expect from start to finish.

What happens if there is a power cut during a ride?

The cabin goes down gently to the lowest floor on its own, and the door unlocks so the rider can step out. This works without any power, so nobody is stuck between floors. For daily use, PVE strongly recommends a voltage stabilizer to protect the elevator from changes in supply. It is a sensible addition for any home, and your dealer can advise on the right one for your house.

My mother uses a wheelchair. Which elevator should we look at?

Look at the PVE52, the only PVE model built for wheelchair access. It has room for a wheelchair user and a companion, and its wide door makes rolling in easier. Not every wheelchair fits, so it is wise to try a PVE52 at an authorized distributor first. Please note that it is not ADA compliant. Your dealer can help you check the fit for your mother and your Lagos home.

What decides the price of an elevator for my home?

Three things mostly: the model you choose, the number of floors it serves, and the preparation your house needs. A larger cabin or an extra stop changes the price, and so do options such as an automatic door or a folding seat. Site work, like floor openings and a power point, also varies from house to house. A free quote based on your Lagos home gives you a clear figure for your project.

If something needs checking later, who do I call?

You call your authorized PVE dealer. PVE works through over 250 authorized dealers across 5 continents, all trained at its Miami facility, and they handle installation and local support. Your dealer sets a regular service schedule, with a check at least every six months, and is your first contact for any question. The elevator is low maintenance, so these visits are usually quick and simple for your household.

Your Lagos project

Built for the way Lagos lives.

Typical homes
Two- and three-story family houses, and new builds
Building work
No pit, no shaft, no machine room
What it needs
A level floor and steady household power
Install time
Typically 2 to 3 days once site prep is complete

Before you think about models or colours, think about where you would step in and out each day. In many family homes, the best spot is near the stairs or in a corner of the living area, close to the bedrooms above. Because the elevator is round or square and stands on its own, it can often go where a traditional lift never could. A dealer visit confirms which spot works best in your house.

If you already live in your home, the work is small. The installer cuts a neat opening through each floor the elevator passes, finishes the edges, and sets the elevator on a level floor below. There is no digging and no new concrete shaft. Your family can keep living in the house while the job goes on, with far less dust and noise than a larger renovation.

If you are building a new house, now is the best time to plan. Tell your architect or builder early, so the openings, the power supply and the floor heights are planned from the start. It costs far less to plan a space than to change one later. Your dealer can talk to your builder directly to make sure the plans fit the model you choose.

Power deserves a calm, practical word. The elevator runs on standard household power, and PVE strongly recommends a voltage stabilizer to protect it from swings in supply. If the power ever fails during a ride, the cabin goes down gently to the lowest floor on its own, and the door unlocks so the rider can step out. Nobody is left waiting between floors.

No power, no problem: the cabin lowers itself gently to the ground floor.

Approvals are the other question to settle early. The rules for adding an elevator to a private house can depend on your home, your plans and the people who approve building work where you live. Ask your dealer during the first visit what your project may need, and keep any building approvals for your house close at hand. In many cases, a small retrofit is simpler to approve than a large rebuild, but your dealer will help you check before work starts.

Once the site is ready, the install itself is quick. A trained team typically finishes in 2 to 3 days. Every PVE elevator is assembled and factory-tested in Miami, Florida, so it arrives ready to fit together, not to be built from scratch in your home. After that, you book regular check-ups through your authorized dealer, who knows your elevator and your house. The best first step is a free quote and a visit to look at your home.
