Home elevators in Georgia

Keep every floor of your Georgia home part of your day.

A home elevator lets you stay in the house you love, on every level of it.

Maybe your knees ache on the way up at night. Maybe a parent is moving in, or you have decided this Georgia house is the one you will stay in. Whatever brought you here, a home elevator turns your stairs from a daily hurdle into a short, easy ride.

PVE designs and manufactures air-driven home elevators. In standard installations they need no pit, no hoistway and no separate machine room. The elevator is self-supporting, which simply means it stands on your existing floor and rises through a neat opening to the floor above.

For a home in Georgia, whether it is a family house you have owned for years or a new build still on paper, that keeps the work small. Your rooms stay as they are, and the panoramic design lets light pass through as you ride. Every elevator is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami.

How it works

The cleanest home elevator on the market.

There are no oils to change and no machine room to cool. The elevator runs on household power, and if the power ever cuts out, the cabin comes down gently to the lowest floor. A solar panel package is also available.

  1. 01Air lifts you up

A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.

  2. 02Gravity brings you down

Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.

  3. 03Runs on household current

Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.

Models

Four models. One for every home.

If your landing is tight and one person rides at a time, the PVE30 is the place to start. Couples who like to ride together often choose the PVE37, or the square Cube for a two- or three-story home. If someone in your family uses a wheelchair, look first at the PVE52.

Why homeowners choose PVE

Safe, simple and made to be seen.

Here is what a PVE home elevator changes for your Georgia home, from the day of the install to the years you spend living with it.

No pit to dig

The elevator stands on your existing floor. In standard installations you skip the pit, the shaft and the machine room, so an older house or a home on a slab stays largely as it is.

A safe way down in a power cut

If the power fails while you ride, the cabin comes down on its own to the lowest floor at a slow, safe speed, and the door unlocks. No one needs to come and get you out.

Light and open

The panoramic design gives you 360 degree visibility as you ride. The elevator feels like part of the room, not a closet, and it lets daylight move through your home.

Done in days

Once the opening and power are ready, your dealer typically installs the elevator in 2 to 3 days. Your family can keep living at home through the work.

Space for the years ahead

A space-saving elevator makes aging in place practical. You keep the bedroom you love upstairs, and a visiting parent or a partner after surgery can reach every floor with ease.

The manufacturer behind it

PVE has designed and manufactured air-driven elevators since 2002, with patented pneumatic technology certified by LiftInstitute and A17.7 code compliant. Our dealers are trained at the PVE Miami facility.

Testimonials

What homeowners say.

Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.

We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.

PVE homeowner5 years with a PVE

My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.

It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!

From idea to installation

What happens during installation?

Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.

  1. Review the home

Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.

  2. Confirm the model and location

Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.

  3. Prepare the site

Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.

  4. Install and hand over

Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.

Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

Most PVE home elevator projects fall between $35,000 and $100,000+. The price of an elevator for your Georgia home depends mostly on the model, how many floors it serves and the prep your house needs first, such as an opening between floors, a new circuit or a landing. FAQ

Questions Georgia homeowners ask before they order

Have another question? Send us your question and an authorized dealer will give you a plain answer about your home. 813-548-4339
Can you add one to the house we already live in?

Yes, in many cases you can. Most PVE elevators go into homes that are already built, because the elevator stands on your existing floor and needs no pit or shaft. Whether your Georgia home is a good fit depends on the spot you choose, a level floor and enough height between floors. Your dealer checks all of this during a free visit and tells you plainly what your house needs.

Who do I talk to about a permit where I live?

Start with your dealer, who will point you to the right office. Depending on where you live in Georgia, the permit for a home elevator usually comes from your city or county building department, and each office has its own forms and timing. Your dealer knows what these offices tend to ask for and can help with the drawings. Ask about the permit early so it does not delay your install.

Our house has a basement. Can the elevator stop there too?

Yes. The PVE30, PVE37 and PVE52 can serve up to 5 stops, so your basement can easily be one of them. The basement floor needs to be level, and your dealer checks the height on each level during the visit. Many families find a basement stop keeps the laundry, a guest room or a hobby space within easy reach. Mention your basement and how many floors you want served when you ask for a quote.

Will I be stuck if a storm knocks the power out?

No. If the power fails while you are riding, the cabin comes down on its own to the lowest floor at a slow, safe speed, and the door unlocks so you can step out. You do not need to call anyone or press anything special. That gives you peace of mind whenever bad weather or a utility problem cuts the power to your home. Ask your dealer to show you how it works.

Is there a model that takes a wheelchair?

Yes, the PVE52 is the model to look at for wheelchair access. It is the three-passenger model, with the widest door and the roomiest cabin of the four. It is not ADA compliant, and not every wheelchair fits, so we suggest riding a PVE52 at an authorized dealer with the chair you actually use. That way you know it works for your family before you order.

How much of our house will be torn up?

Very little, compared with a traditional elevator. There is no pit to dig, no shaft to frame and no machine room to build. The main work is a finished opening between floors, or a landing for a balcony install, plus a power circuit. Once that prep is done, the elevator typically goes in within 2 to 3 days, and you can keep living in your home the whole time.

What goes into the price for a home like ours?

The price comes down to three things: the model, the number of floors and the prep your house needs. A compact model serving two floors costs less than a larger one serving more. An older home may need a new circuit, while another may need a landing built. Your free quote lists all of it for your Georgia home, so you see the full picture before you decide.

Does it need regular checkups, and who does them?

Yes, it needs regular checkups, but PVE elevators are low maintenance, with no oils or lubricants to change. Your authorized dealer sets up a service schedule with an inspection at least every 6 months, and they are your contact if anything needs attention. Dealers are trained at the PVE Miami facility, so the person servicing your elevator knows it well. Ask about service near you when you request a quote.

Your home, your project

Built for the way Georgia lives.

Two-story houses, homes with basements, new builds
What it needs
A level floor and its own power circuit
Permits
Usually your city or county building office
Install time
Typically 2 to 3 days after site prep

Every home is different, so your project starts with a visit. Your authorized dealer looks at your floors, the height between them, your power supply and the spots where an elevator could go. You come away with a clear plan for your Georgia house, not a guess.

Most projects start from one of a few kinds of homes. A two-story house with the main bedroom upstairs is the most common reason families call. A home with a finished basement often wants an extra stop, so the lowest floor stays part of daily life. And if you are building new, you can plan the space from the start.

If you already live in the house, the self-supporting design helps a lot. The elevator stands on your existing floor, so in standard installations there is no pit to dig into a slab or a basement floor. That floor does need to be level, and your dealer checks it during the visit.

Where the elevator goes matters more than how big your house is. Many owners choose a corner of the living room, a spot beside the stairs or a closet that lines up with a closet above. A through-floor install needs a finished opening between floors. A balcony install uses a landing or walkway, which can suit a home with an open stair or a tall foyer.

With the opening and power ready, your new elevator is typically in place in 2 to 3 days.

Before work starts, you will likely need a building permit. Depending on where you live, it usually comes from your city or county building office, and each office has its own forms and timing. Your dealer can tell you what your office tends to ask for and help prepare the drawings. Ask about it early, so the permit does not hold up your install date.

The elevator also needs its own power circuit. If your electrical panel is older or already full, an electrician may need to add a circuit before install day. Your dealer will also recommend a voltage stabilizer to protect the system. These are small jobs, and they are best planned during the first visit.

Think about comfort, too. The elevator is meant for a heated and cooled indoor space, not a cold garage or an unheated porch. If you picture it in a sunroom or an addition, talk it over with your dealer first, so the spot you choose works all year.

After the install, your dealer stays your contact. PVE elevators are low maintenance, and your dealer sets a regular service schedule for you. That way, the people who put your elevator in are the ones who know it best when you need help.
