Keep every floor of your Castle Rock home within reach.

A home elevator lets you live on all your floors again, without the stairs deciding for you.

Most homes in Castle Rock are stand-alone houses on two or three levels. That layout is great for a growing family. It gets harder when knees hurt, after a surgery, or when a partner needs help going up at night. A PVE home elevator gives you a simple ride between floors, so the bedroom, the kitchen and the basement stay part of your life.

PVE elevators are air-driven and self-supporting. In plain words, the elevator stands on its own on your existing floor. In standard installations, there is no pit to dig, no hoistway to build and no separate machine room to find. For a Castle Rock house, that often means less work and fewer changes to the rooms you love.

The panoramic design lets light pass through, so the elevator feels open in a stairwell corner or a hallway. Each unit is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami. When you are ready, request a free consultation and we will look at your home with you.

How it works

The cleanest home elevator on the market.

Severe storms can cut power in parts of Castle Rock. If that happens while you ride, a PVE elevator descends to the lowest floor at a safe speed and its door unlocks.

  1. 01Air lifts you up

A vacuum pump at the top of the unit changes the air pressure and the cab rises.

  2. 02Gravity brings you down

Air is let back in and the cab descends. No oils, hydraulic fluid or lubricants.

  3. 03Runs on household current

Low power draw, so it works alongside the solar arrays many homes now have.

The most sustainable home elevator available. Anywhere.

Why homeowners choose PVE

Safe, simple and made to be seen.

Here is what a PVE home elevator brings to a Castle Rock house, and why it fits the way homes here are built and lived in.

Less work in your home

Standard installations need no pit, hoistway or machine room. In a finished Castle Rock house, that means no digging and far less disruption to your floors and walls. Many families keep their layout almost as it was.

A calm plan for storm days

Severe storms can cut power in parts of town. If the power fails during a ride, the cab descends to the lowest level at a safe speed and the door lock opens, so no one is stuck between floors.

Stay in the home you love

Aging in place gets easier when every floor is a short ride away. Whether it is for you, a partner or a parent moving in, you keep using the whole house instead of shrinking into one level.

Light and open design

The panoramic design gives you a full view around the cabin. The cylinder is an aluminum frame with polycarbonate panels, so it lets light through and feels open, even in a modest stairwell or hallway.

Quick once you are ready

After your site prep is complete, the install typically takes 2 to 3 days. That means fewer days of crews in your home and a faster return to normal life for your family.

From the company that designs it

PVE has designed and manufactured air-driven home elevators since 2002. Every unit is assembled in the USA and factory-tested in Miami, and its authorized dealers are trained at the Miami facility for installs and local support.

Testimonials

What homeowners say.

Real words from families who added a PVE elevator to the home they love.

We are not age-limited with the elevator. At any age, it's like living on a single floor. We've been here 5 years and it's never needed anything. The elevator has been flawless.

PVE homeowner5 years with a PVE

My house was built in 1925 and it was hard to get something to fit in with the décor of my home, but the PVE fit in perfectly. I am thrilled with the design, engineering, and reliability of the elevator by PVE.

It turns a 2-story into a ranch concept! It's for the ease & access but also for the resale. I think the investment is worth it!

What happens during installation?

Your installation plan should cover the work before the elevator arrives as well as assembly and testing.

  1. Review the home

Confirm the layout, the people using the elevator and the levels it needs to serve.

  2. Confirm the model and location

Check dimensions, landing access and the requirements for the selected configuration.

  3. Prepare the site

Complete the agreed structural and electrical work and arrange the required permits and inspections.

  4. Install and hand over

Assemble and test the elevator, complete required approvals, and explain operation and ongoing care.

Timing depends on site preparation, the selected model and local requirements.

FAQ

Questions Castle Rock buyers ask before ordering

Have another question? Send us your question and a PVE dealer will get back to you with a clear answer about your home. 813-548-4339
Will an elevator actually fit in my Castle Rock house?

In many cases, yes. Most Castle Rock homes are stand-alone houses, which gives you room to choose a good spot. Because the elevator stands on its own on your existing floor, it often fits beside a landing or in a stairwell corner. Not every home is a match, though, so a dealer visit confirms it. Request a free consultation and we will look at your floors and ceilings with you.

Do I need a permit from the Town of Castle Rock?

Yes, you will need a building permit from the Town. Castle Rock takes permit applications and approves them online through its development portal, and it has adopted the national elevator safety codes. If you want to ask a question in person, the Building Counter at Town Hall is open on weekdays. Your dealer can explain what the Town needs, so the process stays clear from start to finish.

Does my HOA get a say in this?

It might, so check before you start. The Town's building code does not cover looks or HOA rules, which means you have to ask your association yourself. Most installs happen inside the house, so many HOAs have little to review. If your plan changes the outside of your home, such as a split unit with machinery outdoors, bring your HOA in early to avoid delays.

How long until I can ride it?

Once your home is ready, the install typically takes 2 to 3 days. The time before that depends on your house and the paperwork. Your permit has to be approved, and the floor where the elevator stands must be level. Some homes also need a floor opening or new power run. Your dealer will lay out each step at your visit, so you know what to expect.

What if a storm knocks out the power while I am in it?

You come down safely. If the power fails during a ride, the cab descends to the lowest floor at a safe speed and the door lock opens, so you can step out. That matters here, since severe storms bring the main wind risk in parts of Castle Rock, and strong wind can cut off power to homes. You will not be left waiting between floors.

My husband uses a wheelchair. Which one should we look at?

The PVE52 is the model to look at. It is the only PVE model marketed as wheelchair accessible, with room for a wheelchair rider and a helper. It is not ADA compliant, and not every wheelchair fits, so we suggest riding a PVE52 at an authorized dealer before you decide. That way your family can be sure it works for your chair and your home.

Do I have to get it inspected every year?

Yes. Colorado law asks you, as the owner, to schedule an inspection at least once a year. You arrange a licensed third-party private inspector, and the State publishes a list of licensed inspectors to choose from. After a passing report, you receive a Certificate of Operations that is good for one year. Your dealer can keep regular service on the same calendar, so it stays simple.

How do I find out what it will cost for my house?

The quickest way is a free quote based on your home. Your price depends on the model you choose, how many floors it serves and the prep your house needs. In Castle Rock, permit steps and the Town's building use tax on materials also play a part. Tell us about your home and a dealer will give you a clear quote, with no pressure to decide.

Most housing in Castle Rock is detached single-family homes, and most households here own the place they live in. That works in your favor. When you own a stand-alone house, you have the freedom to choose where the elevator goes. Because a PVE elevator needs no pit, hoistway or machine room in standard installations, it can often sit beside a landing, in a stairwell corner or next to a closet you already have.

Castle Rock is a younger town than the country as a whole. Even so, a sizable share of households here are already headed by someone 65 or older. If you want to stay in the home where you raised your family, an elevator keeps every floor in use. It also suits families who plan ahead, before the stairs become a problem rather than after one.

The Town of Castle Rock issues your building permit and has adopted the national elevator safety codes. You apply and get approval online through the eTRAKiT Development Portal. If you have a question, the Development Services Building Counter at Town Hall is open on weekdays during business hours. Your dealer can walk you through what the Town asks for, so the paperwork does not slow you down.

Two Town rules are worth knowing before you sign. It is unlawful to use an unregistered or unlicensed contractor, so make sure everyone working in your home is properly registered. Permitted work also owes the Town building use tax on construction materials, so plan for it as a line in your project budget.

The building code does not cover looks or HOA rules. If your neighborhood has a homeowners association, check with it early. The same goes for the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code, which sorts properties into low, moderate or high fire intensity classes, with different rules for additions and exterior work. Most installs stay inside the house, which keeps this simple. If a split unit would put the machinery outdoors, your dealer will check your class first.

If the power goes out mid-ride, the cab comes down and the door unlocks.

Southeast Castle Rock carries a minor wind risk, mostly from severe storms, and strong wind can cut off power. The town is served by one tracked electric utility, so an outage can take a while to fix. Your elevator is designed for that moment. If the power fails while you ride, the cab descends to the lowest level at a safe speed and the mechanical door lock opens, so you can step out.

After the install, Colorado law asks you, as the owner, to schedule an inspection at least once a year. You arrange a licensed third-party private inspector, and the State publishes a list of licensed conveyance inspectors to choose from. The Certificate of Operations that follows is good for one year. Your dealer can keep routine service on the same calendar, so nothing slips.

One last point for your plans: the elevator is meant for a heated, indoor part of your home, not a cold garage or porch. It rests on your existing floor, which must be level. Once that prep is done, the install itself typically takes 2 to 3 days. A free consultation is the easiest way to see where it fits in your house.
