Old Residence, No Problem
Looking to retrofit a residential lift inside the property you love so dearly? Are concerns about available space, construction work needed and annual maintenance preventing you from elevating your standard of living? Are you in the market for an easy-to-install, space-saving elevator solution that will enhance the value of your property? Thankfully, home elevators by PVE have a plethora of advantages that make them ideal home elevators for any retro-fit or new construction project.

Founded in 2002 in Miami, Florida, USA, these innovative residential elevators can be installed in almost any home as they are designed to simply rest on the existing ground floor. As long as the floor is level, these lifts can simply rest on the ground. With no shaft, pit or machine room required, these eco-friendly elevators have fewer pre-construction requirements when compared to traditional elevators making them far more affordable to install in existing homes. With three models to choose from, these self-supporting lifts offer a quick and easy installation while having minimal effect to the structural integrity of the property. Available for both through-floor and balcony mounted applications, these panoramic elevators have a unique design that provides a 360° degree view while traveling from floor-to-floor. Powered by the most abundant resource in the world, AIR, these plug & play elevators operate using pneumatic technology and for 20 years have remained the only Air-Driven Residential Elevators available worldwide.
Installation

With successful installations in over 90+ countries worldwide, our home elevators are installed by licensed and trained distributors who offer the best quality of installation and service. Absolute safety is our top priority with PVE testing every home elevator at our factory prior to shipping ensuring each elevator produced meets the strictest quality and safety standards. This production process also allows a quicker installation, as our distributors transport the pre-tested elevator inside the residence in modular sections. With a small team of two or a larger team of six, these skilled technicians can install our home elevators far easier and more efficiently than a traditional lift. Over the course of two to three days, the elevator is stacked, given one last clean, and plugged in to a 220 volt outlet. As soon as they are finished, our home elevator will be operable for years to come with minimal maintenance required. Without any oils, gases or lubricants that must be annually replaced, these home elevators save homeowners costs in the longer term with the first recommended maintenance after 5 years or roughly 15,000 lifts.
The Three Models

Each of our three residential lifts, ranging from a single passenger to a wheelchair accessible model, are all built to occupy different spaces and offer different features to homeowners. Able to travel up to 5 stops or 50 feet in total rise, every home elevator produced is custom built to the heights of each home. Our one-passenger model, the PVE 30, is the ideal economic, space-saving solution for homeowners that would like their elevator to fit snuggly into, for example, a small room or recess. The smallest fully certified home elevator, this model requires very little retrofitting to install, and can be a welcome addition to any type of residence. Our two-passenger model, the PVE 37, is our standard model that perfectly balances space and comfort. Still a space saving solution with an exterior diameter of only 37” inches, this model offers more space and features with the option of a folding seat and handle to be installed inside the cabin. Lastly, our three-passenger, wheelchair accessible model, the PVE 52, is our largest and most spacious lift solution. Able to fit most full sized wheelchairs as well as an attendant inside, the transparent design of the PVE52 stands beautifully in an open space while offering an elegant addition that will capture peoples attention and imagination.

Home Elevator Frequently Asked Questions
Vacuum Elevators are plug & play home elevator solutions that only require a 220 volt, single phase electrical service for operation. Not requiring any harmful oils, gases or lubricants, these eco-friendly elevators require 25 – 40 amp service depending on the model chosen. Using gravity for descent, electricity is only used to operate the elevator during ascent ensuring a nominal impact on your annual electrical bill. Estimated operating cost Based on an analysis of 15 trips per day (up and down) with an average electricity cost of 13 center per kwh, our PVE37 model produces an estimated yearly energy cost of $28.21 for a household with 217 kwh of estimated yearly electricity usage. Please Note: A homeowner’s electrical cost will depend on the utility rates and daily use of the elevator. In addition, Vacuum Elevators now offer a Solar Panel Package allowing the elevator to operate off solar energy. Operating 100% off the grid, integrating our Vacuum Elevators with solar panels ensures your eco-friendly elevator is still operational even if power goes out inside your home.
When comparing home lift solutions, it is important for homeowners to differentiate between a lift and an elevator to see which is appropriate for their project. While both are very similar terms, certification bodies around the world differentiate “elevators” from “lifts” and thus have different requirements to be classified as either term. Fully certified “Elevators” have a single-push automatic operation, require a fully enclosed cabin for the passenger to be transported in, and a fully enclosed shaft for the cabin to travel through. With stricter safety requirements to meet code, an “elevator” manufacturer and installer must produce and deliver their product to meet these strict safety requirements worldwide which often results in a slightly higher cost. A “lift” is a constant pressure system that requires the passenger to constantly be hold a button for the elevator to operate. Not requiring an enclosed cabin or shaft, there are greater safety concerns with “lifts” as the passenger is more exposed inside the cabin while the lift is in motion. Not requiring a fully enclosed shaft, “lifts” also pose safety concerns for those outside of the elevator as a person could find themselves below or above the cabin while the elevator is in use. As a result, there are less safety requirements to be classified as a “lift” by certification bodies. Some “lifts” online falsely advertise their product as an “elevator” so it is important for homeowners to do their research to find which solution is right for their needs.
Yes you can! Without the need for a shaft, pit or machine room, Vacuum Elevators simply rest on the existing ground floor, offering more flexibility with where they can be installed inside the home and have fewer pre-construction requirements than traditional elevators. With three sizes to choose from, these plug & play elevators are also space saving solutions for the home. Due to these innovative features, Vacuum Elevators can be installed almost anywhere inside the home as long as there is enough space to accommodate one of our three PVE models. With installations taking as little as 2 -3 days, homeowners can have a home elevator installed without all of the construction and cumbersome requirements often associated with traditional elevators. Due to its self-supporting design, Vacuum Elevators are also transportable allowing the elevator to be disassembled and reinstalled in another residence if requested.
