What is a Dumbwaiter?

A dumbwaiter is a small freight elevator with the intention to move objects. However, it’s too small for a person. Dumb and waiter are two parts that make of the word dumbwaiter. Firstly, the term dumb refers to the adjective of the word dumb meaning unwilling or unable to speak. In our case, the term “dumb” means quiet. Secondly, waiter, refers to household servants.
